Neu has made hundreds of classical and contemporary music recordings for classical and contemporary music labels, radios and televisions, as well as selected surround new music albums for Neu Records label. As producers, we specialize in recordings of classical and contemporary music, as well as in systems for surround and 3D recording and reproduction.
Neu was related to Catalunya Música –the National classical music station of Catalonia– and RTP Antena 2 (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal), both classical music stations that participates in EBU (European Broadcasting Union). N has recorded more than 1.000 classical and contemporary concerts in the most prestigious venues of Catalonia and Portugal: l’Auditori, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau de la Música Catalana, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Casa da Música, Festival Castell de Peralada, Festival de Músiques de Torroella de Montgrí, Schubertiade Vilabertran, etc.

Neu works with a selection of the highest quality recording equipment
We apply techniques and processes to capture with maximum transparency the natural timbre of voices, acoustic instruments, large scale orchestras and choirs. Our equipment includes a special multi-format microphone array design, that combines an association of different distances, angles and polar patterns, to produce not only a good sense of localization, but also an extremely natural timbre, and a sensation of space that music needs in order to expand and breathe.
The microphones, pre-amplifiers, AD/DA converters, and sound systems are specially chosen to guarantee natural perception of the music and of each acoustic space, whether in stereo, surround or 3D formats (surround 5.1, 7.1, and 3D for sound installations).
